A lengthy, but true story of Wisuru

Who am I?

Hei you,

I am Maddy  (My name is actually Madhushan Muthukumaraguruparan, but I use the penname Maddy for my online activities). I am an Indian working in Germany. I am an automation engineer. I know a lot about the field I work in.

I was mostly ignored

However, I often noticed that when I am part of a group, I was not really good at creating or maintaining conversations because there aren't many people who work in the same field as me. And, I didn't know much about topics other than automation.

So, I rarely had anything to say. Since I had very less knowledge on topics other than automation, people rarely respected me or asked for my opinions. I was mostly ignored.

Even worse, I ended up asking opinions of others every time I wanted to make a choice, no matter what it is. It affected my self-confidence as well as my ability to take decisions.

I had money, but I lacked knowledge on things outside my field. Whenever I was part of a conversation, I always ended up looking at someone else and thinking...

Wow... What if I had as much knowledge as him/her?

Then, it dawned on me. Wait... I can actually be that person. All I have to do, is read about several things and make myself smarter. Knowledge, after all, is the new sexy.

Back in those days, the strongest person in the tribe used to be the alpha.

But nowadays, the person who knows more, the person who can create and maintain a conversation in any field is the alpha. People, both men and women flock towards him/her. They respect him, his choices and ask for his opinions before taking decisions.

You, me and everyone else secretly wants to be that person, but most people will neither admit, nor make the effort to change.

The decision to change

But, I decided to change.

I decided to read and inform myself on several topics outside my field of work. Trust me, at first it was extremely boring and took a lot of will to keep going, but after a few days, it started becoming interesting.

I started falling in love with reading.

I could actually start and maintain a conversation with one of my friends who knows something about everything. And I could tell him something he didn't know already.

And you know what? He was actually amazed and for the first time in my life, told me 'Madhusha, you have become intelligent'.

That made me so happy. Sometimes, all we want is to be respected, trusted and loved.

I wanted to keep it going. Keep reading at the same pace.

However, there was only one problem.

Time...

As a person who works for at least 8.5 hours, travels for an hour and works out for an hour every day, I did not have enough time to read. At first, I thought I lacked time.

But then, I understood. It was not time that I was lacking.

The real problem was

The real problem was the lack of proper information in one place.

Don't get me wrong. Since the invention of internet in 1995, it's become easier to learn about anything. However, there are almost 2 billion websites in this world.

Even though Google does its best to order the search results based on quality of the information available, you cannot get all the information on a topic in one place.

There are lots of free, useless information everywhere. Simply put, this generation is suffering from an information overload.

Why I decided to start this website?

Even though information is available for free everywhere on the internet, finding relevant, quality and compact information at one place is a real pain.

Informative, interesting blog-posts

That's why I started this website. To provide high-quality, relevant, compact and interesting information in one place for people like me, who lack time.

On an average, I spend an entire day gathering information and writing an article. Every time I write an article, I try to include enough information to educate and entertain, but not to overwhelm.

By reading every blog post, you not only learn something new, but also save one full day, which you would have spent searching several blogs for the useful information I provide.

Do you still think that I have missed out some key information on the topic? Just leave a comment and I will rewrite the article for you. That way, you will be helping out others like you as well.

Test yourself by taking quizzes

I have created quizzes on many topics in this website. So, you can test your knowledge in various fields before even reading any blog posts about them.

Don't worry, you can take these quizzes any time you want, as many times as you want.

'Interesting facts' Section to awe you

Most of the blog posts also contain a 'Interesting facts you probably didn't know' section that are a collection of wierd, unbelievable or interesting facts on the topic that you wouldn't have believed possible.

Who is this for?
